Jay-Shiro Tashiro

Research

Tashiro has studied how educational technologies transform education, with a special focus on health education—including both healthcare providers and patients. However, research in two areas is still underdeveloped for face-to-face as well as online or blended models of education: (1) Persisting knowledge gaps in research on education; (2) Underdevelopment of evidence-based, inclusive, adaptive education across all cognitive development stages.

Since 2015, Tashiro has studied how to write the interiority of neurodivergent and traumatized individuals. Much of this work focuses on how to create engaging thematic elements within stories that also are based on current research in neurobiology and psychology.
